Synopsis: The series is about a former British intelligence officer and a former filmmaker who is seeking his family to find a better and quiet life in the city of Little Beard. When a major oil refinery is established in the city, problems are coming to him, and this is compounded by the arrival of immigrant workers, increased drug use, gambling and prostitution. He goes to the oil company, but he quickly realizes that he and his family have become targets that make the buried dark parts appear awake.
