Manchester United have reportedly conceded they will not be able to take Gareth Bale to Old Trafford this summer.
Ed Woodward is a long-term admirer of the former Tottenham man and United have failed in the past to persuade him to return to the Premier League.
However, there was hope earlier this year United could finally get a deal over the line as Bale was forced to spend a lot of last season on the bench at the Bernabeu.
But The Sun reports Old Trafford bosses have conceded they will not be able to land the winger this summer.
With Cristiano Ronaldo set to join Juventus, it is unlikely Real would allow Bale to leave the club – and United are said to have accepted it will not happen.
